Aviation weapons
The Aviation Weapons Collection contains factory armament, domestically and foreign-made, which equipped the planes and helicopters of our country from the period of the First World War until today. Wars at the beginning of the twentieth century led to the development of different types of weapons that transformed airplanes into military aviation assets.
At the beginning of the Second World War, missiles and bombs with a large payload were introduced. With the arrival of jet aviation in the 60s of the last century, weapons became more developed, and therefore the collection fund became richer for American weapons from Western military aid. The development of Yugoslav defense industry of the SFRY contributes to the improvement of domestically produced weapons.
The collection is thematically divided into aircraft guns and cannons, aerial bombs and missiles.
