Fizir FN

Fizir FN, a basic trainer plane from the period of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, was one of the most successful serial-produced domestic aircraft. The prototype of the plane was made in the private workshop of the designer Rudolf Fizir in Petrovaradin, and the serial production of the plane was entrusted to the Yugoslav factories “Zmaj”, “Rogožarski” and “Albatross”.

Due to its very good flight characteristics and simplicity of aircraft control , it was widely used in pilot training schools. Today, there are two preserved specimens of the Fizir FN plane, one of which is in the Aeronautical Museum in Belgrade.

It was included in the museum’s collection in 1962. The plane was taken over from the training center in Rajlovac, and in 1973 it was restored with the insignia of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
